A new integrated toll system built by Tecsidel went into operation on the motorways in the Bahía Norte area of Brazil.
The network is made up of 90 toll roads, 5 toll payment points and a central system known as BackOffice.
The system will perform and be responsible for the consolidation and counselling of an estimated 50,000 daily transactions.
The installed system has complete supervision over the toll system and the “core” developed for this product will be used in the several toll road projects that have been granted to Tecsidel over the last few months, in countries such as Mexico, India, Senegal and Equatorial Guinea.
The Software Factory that Tecsidel has in the Technology Park, has played an important role in the development of this system whose nucleus will be introduced into the forthcoming concession motorway projects.
This will strengthen the factory’s software development business model, which in turn will be instrumental in Tecsidel choosing the Valladolid based centre for future software development. Tecsidel is a Spanish-owned company working in consultancy, design, development and integration of software systems in Telecommunications, Information Systems, Logistics and Toll roads.
100% of Tecsidel’s share capital is held by employees and former employees. The company has centres in Barcelona, Madrid and Valladolid as well as abroad in Sao Paulo, Córdoba (Argentina) and Santiago de Chile.
Tecsidel has an annual turnover of 30 million euros and at present has a team of over 420 engineers.
