WCCC is the most prestigious contest in US and among the most relevant in the world. This competition has been held since 1.957 with high participation from its origins and in which this year attended more than 2.500 cheeses worldwide.
The Salamanca-based factory hopes to obtain approval this year for its Iberian pork products in the United States, Mexico and Brazil.
9th of March 2012, Salamanca.- Jamones Aljomar is currently undertaking a large-scale expansion project of its Iberian meat products, a strategy stimulated in particular by its continual interest in the opening of new markets, as well as its innate passion to promote the Iberian ham culture throughout the world. According to the company’s calculations, in 2012 - 2013, it will be in a position to launch itself in 30 countries (in Europe, America, Asia and Africa), which means that international markets will represent 15-20% of Jamones Aljomar’s turnover.
It is a true culinary treasure and a unique product in the world. Its external appearance instantly invites you to taste it, and, if a professional ham cutter is present, none can resist tasting a delicate and exquisite slice. That is right; we are talking about Iberian pork ham, which has found the best environmental conditions in Guijuelo (Salamanca district) for its curing process and maturation, with dry cold winters and mild short summers.
Reina de Castilla winery, located in La Seca (Valladolid) received 4 awards at the International Wine and Spirits contest (Cinve 2011). In particular, Bufón verdejo grape 2010 and Reina de Castilla verdejo grape 2010 received one gold each, whereas the two silver were for Isabelino Rueda 2010 and Reina de Castilla Sauvignon 2010.

The innovative n-Core Polaris indoor locating system, developed by Nebusens, has been awarded as the winner of the first international competition on indoor localization and tracking, which took place in Valencia (Spain) on July and whose results were announced in Lecce (Italy) at the end of September 2011. Among the competitors there were companies and research groups coming from all Europe, including Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, Ukraine and Spain.
