The French restaurant chain Sushi Shop, specialist in Japanese food, currently has more than seventy restaurants in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Italy and Spain. When the Madrid branch opened in the Salamanca area of the city, a stone’s throw from the Puerta de Alcalá (Alcala Gate), interior design company VOO-DO commissioned Naturpiedra for an exclusive design of pieces of Ignita Metal slate. Ever since then slate can be seen in the bars of their newly built and renovated establishments, in fitting with the rest of the Japanese style décor.
